How to upload videos from your iPhone
to the WeTransfer link sent to you.

To get started on your editing project, we’ll need your video files. To make things easy, we’ve sent you a WeTransfer link. It lets you upload everything straight to our private storage—quick and simple!

If you’re on a computer, just drag and drop your videos into the upload box. If you’re using a phone, it might feel a little more complicated, but don’t worry—we’ve put together a step-by-step guide to walk you through it.

There are three options outlined below.

Option 1: Using Safari (or any browser on iPhone)

​

  1. Open Safari (or Chrome) on your iPhone.

  2. Go to the WeTransfer link you received (tap the link or paste it into the browser).

  3. Wait for the page to load — it should open to a file upload field

  1. Tap "Add your files" or “Upload”.

  2. Tap "Photo Library" when prompted.

  3. Browse and select the video(s) from your Camera Roll (you can select multiple).

  4. Tap “Add” or “Done”.

If nothing happens when you press “Add” please proceed to Option 2 or 3.

  5. Enter your email address (if required) and recipient email (if needed).

  6. Tap “Transfer”.

  7. Wait while the videos upload. Do not close Safari during this process.

  8. Once done, you’ll see a confirmation or be emailed a link if you’re the sender.

Option 2: Save Videos to the Files App first for easier WeTransfer Upload

 

Part 1: Save your videos to the Files App

  1. Open the Photos app.

  2. Select the video(s) you want to upload. *Tip: Search “Videos’ or go to your Video folder

  3. Tap the Share icon (square with up arrow).

  4. Tap “Save to Files.”

  5. Choose where to save:

    • iCloud Drive, On My iPhone, or a folder you recognize.

  6. Tap Save (top right).

Now your video is saved in the Files app.

Part 2: Upload your videos to WeTransfer

  1. Tap or paste the WeTransfer link you were given into your browser.

  2. Once the page loads you’ll see an “Add files” or upload window.

  3. Tap “Upload files” or “+” button (depending on the interface).

  4. Tap “Choose Files” when asked where to pick files from.

  5. This opens the Files app — navigate to where you saved the videos.

  6. Tap the video file(s) to select.

  7. Add any required info (name, email, message).

  8. Tap Transfer or Upload.

  9. Wait for the upload to finish — keep Safari open.

Option 3: Transfer Videos from iPhone to Computer

Step 1: Upload to your computer via USB or AirDrop

​

Using a USB Cable (Mac or Windows)

 

1. Connect your iPhone to your computer using a Lightning-to-USB cable.

2. Unlock your iPhone and tap “Trust This Computer” if prompted.

3. On your computer:

  • Mac: Open the Photos app.

  • Windows: Open File Explorer > Select Apple iPhone under “This PC” > Go to DCIM folder.

4. Browse and find the videos you want to copy.

5. Drag and drop or import the video files to your desktop or a folder on your computer.

OR

​

Use AirDrop (Mac only)

 

1. Make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are ON for both devices.

2. On your iPhone, go to the Photos app and select the video(s).

3. Tap the Share icon > Tap AirDrop > Choose your Mac.

4. On your Mac, accept the transfer. Videos will be saved to your Downloads folder.

Step 2: Upload to WeTransfer

 

1. Open a web browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.) on your computer.

2. Go to the WeTransfer link provided to you

3. Click “Upload files” or the + button.

4. Select the video file(s) you copied from your iPhone.

5. Enter the required info:

  • Your email

  • Recipient’s email

  • Optional message

6. Click Transfer.

7. Wait for the upload to complete — don’t close the browser window.
